If you have to sit with people who have total control, then you really haven't learned much from Ayahuasca. "To be perfect under perfect circumstances is to be a paper warrior." I doubt they "needed" to be in a documentary, either. I love reading peoples accounts of their journeys with Aya because they are all so different.

is this a reality tv show trend- where you put the most annoying people together in a room and give them a potent medicine?? horrible- I hope to never sit with people who have so little control over themselves or need to be in a documentary- 9 days in the jungle- try months/ years to even begin to speak about this intelligently... sad trend - everyone should write a book and make a movie about their journey- hilarious.

I can see why Keith got an award for Best Cinematography. This film is great! I've been to Blue Morpho and recognized some of the people in the film. I can pull the DVD out and just about go into ceremony!

This is a great article on Keith's movie Steve! I really enjoyed it.

I had a chance to become friends with Keith during my stay the the 5th International Shamanic Conference. We also had the wonderful opportunity to be in ceremony together. Keith has an amazing capacity to capture human emotion on film. This above trailer just begins to show how much "purging" he actually filmed. I personally would have like to seen "more" positive experiences after the essential purging. Suffice to say, he did a wonderful job captivating the audience despite the violent dark cries and emotions being displayed during a ceremonia. There were many who could not sit during the entire presentation of Keith's film. I asked one of those women her opinion of the film and she stated, "Metamorphosis is a great film despite the intensity of the purging. At certain points I had to walk away because it was too much, but I kept on coming back to see what happened next."

Overall, I really enjoyed his film and felt as if they it could have shown more of the "heaven" like states that Hamilton noted above. You really get an idea of the actual stories and experiences of people that purge and have dark visions during the ceremonia.
